Clinton suspends presidential campaign, endorses Obama

MarketWatch is reporting that...

Sen. Hillary Clinton on Saturday officially suspended her bid for the Democratic presidential nomination and announced her endorsement of Sen. Barack Obama. Clinton, speaking at the National Building Museum in Washington, thanked her supporters and vowed to continue the fight "on the front lines of Democracy." At the end of a long race for the Democratic nomination, Obama narrowly beat out Clinton for the party's presidential ticket. He scored 2,154 delegates while Clinton got 1,919. Clinton, for her part, narrowly beat Obama in the popular vote, getting 17.6 million votes to Obama's 17.4 million.

She's "suspended" it, has she? Does anyone else detect the subtle threat to Obama contained within that very carefully chosen word? If I know Shrillery she's angling for some pretty serious concessions. Once she's been named Veep, it's even possible Obama will suffer an unfortunate "accident" the day before Inauguration.

If memory serves, Mitt Romney also "suspended" his campaign. Haven't heard from him in a while.

Hmmm. Hillery amasses more votes than Obambi, yet he gets the nomination. When Bush won the presidency in the same fashion over the Goracle, these same Democrats cried foul. Leftist hypocrites - one & all!

Obama will be president. It's unavoidable.

I see one consequence of his presidency that has been overlooked. It should spell the end to affirmative action programs. Why do they need special treatment any more? It's a level playing field when a black man can become president. The evidence is clear.

You cannot infer from one fact that we have a level playing field.

There is still a great deal discrimination. The enthusiasm for "reverse discrimination" is merely one of the particularly manifest examples.

A level playing field doesn't exist, nor is it our aim. A more authentic task is creation of new opportunities. To actually do so, you have to process the huge variety of circumstances. Internal - as with schizophrenics - or external: people's over-association of race with cultural problems.

Maybe. I did read that apparently they will both be at the next Illuminati, Elders of Zion and Trilateral Commission meetings.

What I'd like to know is this:

Why does she keep saying "suspend"? Surely, her dropping out of the race is not merely temporary, or is it?

What do you mean by one fact? This was a very complicated process that required a lot of support from very well placed, important people (read whitey). Americans have decided it's time to move forward, even though Obama isn't necessarily the best man for the job.

Do you mean to imply that a man who's about to be elected president should still be the beneficiary of affirmative action because of his race? The president of the US needs to be treated with more sensitivity because he's a victim of racial inequality?

Let it go, you're making me sick.

Obama would have surrendered weeks ago if only about half of the party voted for him, it's about time Hillary gave up.

Obama believes in surrender as soon as the media and public opinion polls turn against you and he includes international public opinion. The US is heavily criticized by terrorist dictatorships and liberal media worldwide - Obama wants to change all that as soon as he can figure out who the US can surrender to.
