Obama: Israel is a "Constant Sore"
I guess that "BO" should stick to the script:
JG: Do you think that Israel is a drag on America’s reputation overseas?
BO: No, no, no. But what I think is that this constant wound, that this constant sore, does infect all of our foreign policy.

Don't you think that maybe he could be referring to the five decades of bloodshed in Israel and Palestine, and not Israel itself?
Honestly, your panic as Obama gets closer and closer to being the nominee is really hilarious.

Wow, he really said that? How can you spin that? Especially with the Hamas symapthizing Wright church and that track record. Obama will never get past McCain, as weak as McCain really is.

I should have read the article first. This was a ridiculous post, AY. I still think Obama will fail in his bid for the White House, but he'll screw himself up, no one needs to make up a phony q and a for a headline.

I'm sure all Palestinians would agree with Obama.

You don't think that the language is significant? Come on. What do you think is more revealing - the paragraphs of carefully-packaged garbage, or the slight slip.

Obama on script spewing platitudes reveals he has no real substance to offer, he's winging it.
In the heat of political battle it's the slip of the tongue, the unguarded moments that shed more light.
Obama seems to be the breath of fresh air the Dems are looking for. They may end up with just that and little else.
Haven't seen Oprah on the campaign trail with Obama since her initial big splash support. For some that's all it would take to win them over.

I am sure if Obama does not win the presidency, he will have a job post with Hamas

>"One of the things that is frustrating about the recent conversations on Israel is the loss of what I think is the natural affinity between the African-American community and the Jewish community, one that was deeply understood by Jewish and black leaders in the early civil-rights movement but has been estranged for a whole host of reasons that you and I don’t need to elaborate."
Senator Obama
"estranged for a whole host of reasons that you and I don’t need to elaborate."
I wish Senator Obama would elaborate.
Did American Jews and the Black community have a natural affinity because they were both targets of the Klan mentality and are now estranged because the Klan is gone and become replaced by people like Senator Obama's Rev. Wright and the Black community's new post-MLK Islamic awareness?
>"“Look, I am sympathetic to you and the need for you guys to have a country that can function, but understand this: if you’re waiting for America to distance itself from Israel, you are delusional. Because my commitment, our commitment, to Israel’s security is non-negotiable.”
Senator Obama
I'll tell you what is going unsaid here.
IF Senator Obama becomes President he is going to slash American military spending.
President Obama is going to cut R&D on new weapons programs, he is going to cut the size of America's forces, and he is going to place a moratorium on America's missile forces and push for global nuclear disarmament.
He has said all of these things.
If President Obama were to do these things, Israel would be left twisting in the wind.
There is a definite conflict between Senator Obama's promise to slash American military power and the promise that Israel's security is non-negotiable because if America isn't in a position of strength, any there aren't going to be any negotiations in the first place, Israel's enemies are going to act and America won't be in strong position to influence the outcome.
>"I want to solve the problem, and so my job in being a friend to Israel is partly to hold up a mirror and tell the truth and say if Israel is building settlements without any regard to the effects that this has on the peace process,..."
Senator Obama
The above is a clear anti-Israel statement by Senator Obama.
Israel DOES regard the effects that building settlements has on the peace process.
To say otherwise is to ignore that Israel has dismantled earlier settlements and, sometimes violently, forced the settlers out.
Building settlements is a negotiating tactic on Israel's part and provides them with a concession that they can give up to show good faith in negotiation.
When the Arabs respond, as always, with bad faith, Israel expands the settlements to reflect that Arab bad faith has consequences.
>"So that then becomes the question: is settlement policy conducive to relieving that over the long term, or is it just making the situation worse? That’s the question that has to be asked."
Senator Obama
There is ample historic evidence that this question already has a answer.
Why does Senator Obama not know the answer?
Because Senator Obama is anti-Israel.
Israel is being attacked because Israel is a Jewish state, not because Israel has been building settlements.
None of Israels neighbours accept Israel's right to exist, the settlements are just a diversion from that fact.

Clearly Obama spoke what he meant like the 'Cling to guns & religion' Remark.
Remember, his staff bakes cookies with Hamas and plays tooties with terrorists like Ayers (who he purportedly also worked for) and campaigned for Odinga in Kenya who lost the election & who's' cohorts murdered over a 1000 people in the aftermath of the loss.
Remember too that we have been threatened with violence if he does not get the Democrat Nomination.
Lies & Intimidation, just like the Old Chicago Politics...or perhaps like the monarchy we fought against in the Revolutionary War?
Why should this remark surprise anyone?

Why haven't any of you, Adam, Mark Steyn, anyone tried to actually interview Obama or one of his staff? Judging by the frequency of posts it sounds like Obama's a bit of a concern here. If this really is meant o compete with the MSM, then you're going to have to go do some primary-source work one day eventually. Here's your chance:

BTW, everyone in the MSM uses the old "X's people didn't return our calls" line, and I know you know that, and I know you know we know that's the oldest trick in the book when you want to avoid actually conducting an interview, so I'd go one step past the MSM and record your calls so we know a) you tried, b) they said no, and c) why.

Please link, Recog, to ANY interview that Senator Obama has yet given where he has been asked and pinned down to any hard question if you think he can be interviewed by people who oppose his bid for President.
Obama is being carefully managed and protected from genuine scrutiny and that includes being interviewed only by Obama partisans or at least Dems or people who have agreed to only ask questions presented by the Obama campaign.
