Bill O'Reilly flips out

While the Bill O'Reilly flipping out video got a boost by being posted on the reason.tv blog, it has since been taken down because of a copyright claim by CBS Broadcasting. I did some digging around, and managed to find another version (why CBS even bothers is beyond me. Once these videos go viral, there's no stopping the video from being up somewhere).

Bill O'Reilly takes exception to what's written on the tele-prompter and goes berserk. That's not an exaggeration, by the way, he really does go berserk.

Watch at your own risk (there's all sorts of foul language in this, so be forewarned):

Something you may not have seen is this musical version of O'Reilly's hissy fit (even more foul language):

Wow is that old, note he not berating anyone, only the machine.

I do it myself all the time.

That's the O'Reilly I have come to enjoy.

Keep the no-spin coming dude!

Well, he's sort of berating whoever wrote the script for the teleprompter. "To play us out."

The best there is,anywhere Bill O'Reilly!!

Bill still had some hair in those days.

Posted by: Joe Molnar | 15-May-08 2:44:40 PM

God, I love that guy!

Posted by: atric | 15-May-08 3:10:01 PM

Good for Bill, he's got the fu*kin' beat!
It's hard to get good help these days.

Posted by: Liz J | 15-May-08 3:54:12 PM

He has a hair-trigger temper and - classic bully that he is - likes to hit. What set him off here is what will always set him off: his planet-sized EGO. He didn't know what "play us out" meant. That's what initially got under his skin. He was embarrassed because the workers on the set knew something about the media gig that he didn't. He felt he looked foolish.

His ego popped. And then he did.

I could watch that a hundred times. Very funny.

Posted by: Matthew Johnston | 15-May-08 5:17:14 PM

I think I have watched it a hundred times. At least awfully close to it. It's actually a really good song...

O'Reilly epitomizes the ideals of most conservatives these days:

- selfishness is paramount
- confusing being a jerk with having a point
- lie whenever it suits you, knowing there are people of lesser intelligence will defend your lies
- if someone doesn't agree with you, shout him down
- when the evidence against your point proves you wrong, claim there is a conspiracy against you
- everyone else must follow your 'values' except your own perversions, of course

Yep,that O'Reilly is the best and brightest person the right wing can come up with. Be proud, CONs...

O'Reilly is to conservatives what Michael Moore is to liberals. A big tub of shit. A total embarrassment. It makes me want to punch him so many times he pees his pants and cries for his momma. Problem is, when you kick the shit out of a guy who thinks he's tough, he always charges you with assault. It would be worth it.

Posted by: dp | 15-May-08 10:31:44 PM

dp,

That's pretty funny considering he is not even a conservative, but hey, your entitled to your opinion no matter how bizarre and misguided it is.

Posted by: deepblue | 15-May-08 10:48:51 PM

Not a conservative?

Posted by: Matthew Johnston | 15-May-08 10:51:11 PM

No, he is not. It is obvious you don't watch his show.

As a conservative I find myself at odds with him often, as do may others.

I just appreciate his honesty and delivery.

I would say he is simply street smart, and uses a common sense thought process.

Most people who use common sense, and clear thought, usually find themselves siding with most conservative views.

He would fit in that category.

deepblue:

O'Reilly is a defender of traditional values as outlined in the US Constitution.

If you'd like to understand his stance, just read the first 10 Amendments, which most scholars understand to be the U.S. Bill of Rights.

And, hey, if a fellow human being blows his gasket once in a while ... he's only human, like this old, old video shows.

I've heard him on my satellite radio and he rips into Bush quite often, too. He's forceful, sure, but I would not consider him to be as partisan as some of the dweebs on CNN and MSNNBC.

I consider him to be an honest commentator and the fact his shows are rated No. 1 kinda tells you that he strikes a chord with many Americans.

Posted by: set you free | 15-May-08 11:58:29 PM

syf,

Agree on all points. And yes his ratings say all that needs saying.

Posted by: deepblue | 16-May-08 12:11:25 AM

I am flat-out terrified of those of you who believe this man speaks the truth and actually dwells in a "no-spin" zone.

Bill O'Reilly doesn't scare me: He's just one man, and a man that knows most of what he says is inflammatory BS that makes for great ratings and serious dollars.

Who *does* scare me are those of you who believe the biased pap he spews out of his money-hungry piehole.

Posted by: Megan C. | 16-May-08 6:39:41 AM

Wow Megan, such anger! Tsk , tsk, jealousy will get you no where!

Actually what is scary, is that any opinion that differs from you goose stepping, group think, far left kool-aid drinkers has become unacceptable in your fascist world.

I'm glad it drives you nuts he has the number one show on cable.

Posted by: deepblue | 16-May-08 7:33:54 AM

Megan, pay those two no mind. They showed up here to defend their hero. And what is their hero? An aging bully who also happens to be a very big baby. If that's the sort of hero "conservatives" look to these days for leadership, then the last 7 years which closed down our long national nightmare of peace and prosperity are no mystery. Nor is it any longer a mystery why the annointed leader who has become the face of those miserable 7 years is the least popular U.S. President of all time.

If they want O'Reilly as an emblem of their partisanship and the radical movement to which that partisanship owes its unswerving allegiance, then I say: More power to 'em! Let them wave O'Reilly flags all day long!

Because they aren't helping their Cause one little bit. Come to think of it, they might even be hurting it...now there's a thought...

deepblue:

What's really scary is how people's fears of the future are exploited.

O'Reilly promotes a type of rugged individualism that was spawned from a society which has led the world in positive technological and scientific advances.

It's citizens are free to use their abilities in any way they see fit. As a result, the US has a highly-creative populace.

It's no accident that English has emerged as the world's language of commerce ... and it has nothing to do with England.

There has been no nation in the history of the world whose power has been charged, not through the coersion of the state, but through the recognition of individual potential.

Free speech has been entrenched into the US Constitition for more than 200 years, unlike Canada where, in the immortal words of those who must be obeyed in Ottawa “free speech is not a Canadian value."

To understand where O'Reilly is coming from, pick up a copy of his book Culture Warrior.

The US has its own version of the Human RIghts Commissions, although they cannot operate in the same manner as in Canada because of the First Amendment.

The American CIvil Liberties Union has been he voice of the secular progressives, which continues to try to use the courts to overthrow the will of the people and undermine the values that have made the US the greatest and freest nation in history.

Bottom-line, there are plenty of people out there who will run your life for you ... if only you allow them to do it.

They can't even run their own life. I'll be damned if they'll run mine.

Wow, I knew Bill O'Reilly was a bully and a jerk, but I didn't know he was insane.

I'd like him to curse at me one time. I'd knock him on his ass.

ebt:

This is an example of what happens when totalitarians get in power.

If there's some talk show host, some newspaper editor or even somebody who has a different opinion that does not agree to their self-righteous viewpoint, knock 'em on their ass.

For another example of yet another ignorant RW gumflapper, see the National Post's Jonathan Kay column today. He has a link to an exchange between Chris Matthews and LA rightard Kevin James over Bush's 'appeasement' embarrassment. Another CON moment for the hall of shame.

BTW, those of you who worship O'Reilly worship a pervert. Just google the Loofah tapes for another insight into your hero.

Chris Matthews is Obama's No. 1 a**kisser.

My theory about the Dubya remarks is that they were more appropriate about Jimmy Carter, who recently set a dangerous precedent when he recently met with Hamas leadership.

Since Dubya talked about a concept on a philosophical level, rather that lowering himself to naming names, it explains why defenders of the Messiah Obama are upset.

They have clearly demonstrated a lack of intellectual capacity to respond to a historical truth and have thrown out a hysterical hissy-fit on a personal level instead.

Since Obama is already The Chosen One, he has reached a state of vacuous perfection that no human being before him has. Therefore, he is above criticism.

On the subject of a**-kissing, I still get a kick out of this ole pic: http://www.karljones.com/images/rumsfeld_hussein.jpg. Sometimes it's easy to forget the days when the media kissed Reagan's behind, or GWB's. Or when Rumsfeld was kissing Saddam Hussein's.

Ah, those were the days.

Posted by: sark | 17-May-08 1:42:07 AM

Yep, the way the RW has descended to unintelligible, slogan chanting, whining babies has got to have Wm. F. Buckley turning in his freshly planted grave...

Posted by: joe bleau | 17-May-08 8:46:36 PM

True enough, as "self-righteous viewpoint" without exception describes every O'Reilly sermon from the unholy mount. Makes me glad he's out there, discrediting the Cause of his worshippers on an almost daily basis. Go, O'Liely!

Posted by: sark | 18-May-08 1:17:49 AM

The fact he has you far left whack job haters mumbling among yourselves is reason enough to like him.

Posted by: deepblue | 18-May-08 7:28:39 AM

And you right-wingnuts please go right on loving and worshipping him. O'Reilly and other leaders of so-called "conservatism" are the reason Republicans are losing elections and will continue losing them. Finding themselves in an ever-shrinking minority.

Go, O'Reilly, go!

Posted by: sark | 18-May-08 10:04:22 AM

"loving and worshipping him."

Who said anything about loving or worshipping him?

It is you who seem obsessed with him.

It is you lefty "bats" who worship your self proclaimed messiahs, and fall at their feet. (witness Obamamania)

He just brings truth to broadcasting, something that is sorely lacking, and something I know you fascists simply can't handle.

If I need conservative talk I listen to Mark Levin, he has about the same amount of respect, and an equal amount of contempt for you far left fascists as I do.

Here is a little news flash for you "bark", the reason Republicans are losing votes is because they are acting like the fascists Democrats themselves.

You can't out lib a lib, and you can't out left flank the far left whack jobs. It take a special kind of perverse person to hate their own country enough to wish fascism on it.

Kind of like you.

Posted by: deepblue | 18-May-08 12:15:08 PM

As you describe yourself ad nauseum, you continue to do my work for me. Don't stop now, obsessed right-wingnut. Keep 'em comin'! You only embarrass yourself more!

Posted by: sark | 18-May-08 7:23:53 PM

P.S. - And, oh yeah, sure sounds like love and worship to me. Surely, you have another offering to lay at the feet of your fascist deity?
