York university paper justifies anti-Israel terrorism
Toronto's York University's Excalibur bulletin publishes a vile anti-semitic piece justifying the recent terrorist attacks in Jerusalem that resulted in death of many innocent civilians, mainly school children. But I am not surprised at all. After all York university has a track record of allowing Palestinian terrorists to promote anti-Israel propaganda and also denying freedom of speech to those who would like to debate issues such as abortion and the war on terror.
York U is definitely a sad and depressing place, if you ask me.

The radical limp wrists at York would be the first to be hacked if the Muslims ever got in charge of this country.
What naivety.
But then that's what Canadian universities are all about aren't they. Fantasy around the campfire with a guitar. I will be glad when all the old hippies are dead and a more sane generation is in charge.

Paulo has a hate site. He is a low intellect who cannot spell, nor write a decent sentence.
This is what happens when blogging becomes so simple that even the mentally retarded can do it.
Stop advertising your bile on this site. This site if for adults who debates issues and argue points.

Even at the university here in Victoria, young minds are being seriously corrupted.

York U is full of petty fascists, thankfully they're impotent.

philanthropist -
The "petty facists" are NOT impotent. On the contrary, they continually pollute the "freedom of speech" (and thought) of the "captive" students, who "cannot" speak out, lest the brave students get penalized with poor grades, etc.
This tyranny goes on in ALL government schools (and "private" schools too) and can "only" effectively-easily be confronted by fair minded members of the community at large (e.g. those who don't currently have their own children or future graduation prospects at risk).
Attend your local Public School Board meetings, particularly if your own children are grown up and gone from those sewers of Political Correctness. Lambast the baffoons who pretend to be "educators" in their self deceit. You will find that the School Board members and the School Administrators are so incredibly brainless that you can blow away their dumb fact-free arguments to pieces right off the top of your head without a moment's hesitation or "study" of their stupid "issues."
You do your community and your nation a favor, to say nothing of the benefits to the children presently trapped in these horrid "schools."

While this article may not have been written in the best of taste, I didn't get the impression that the author was trying to "justify" the terrorist attacks as much as offer an explanation as to why this particular school was targeted. Other newspapers have also noted that this school was probably targeted for its symbolic importance, being considered the "ideological birthplace" of the Jewish settlement movement. This doesn't mean that the killing of innocent children is anything less than horrifying; it simply offers some insight into the thought processes of those who commit these crimes.
I'm not clear where the impression came from that York University has a "track record of allowing Palestinian terrorists to promote anti-Israel propaganda". York has a very large population of Jewish students and faculty, and I believe that it is one of the few if not the only university in Canada that is closed on Jewish High Holidays. There have been heated debates about this issue in recent years, but allowing people to express their opinion does not amount to allowing "terrorists" to spread "propaganda". Wasn't there a huge outcry when the abortion debate was cancelled? How can you be upset over censorship in that case, but advocate censorship of one side of this debate?

Michelle: You are woefully ignorant of the history of Canadian Universities and their anti-Israeli bias. Not only York, but Concordia, etc. have allowed Pali-symapthizers to bully and terrorize speakers to the point that those speakers who disagree with letting Palis send bombs into Israel without an Israeli right to respond were not able to speak on campus. (Benjamin Netanyahu for one.) It has never happened on the other side.

Markalta: You're accusing me of ignorance, but you did not address a single point that I raised in my post. I'm fully aware of what happened at Concordia. I said that I wasn't clear where the statement about York's "track record" was coming from. Daniel Pipes spoke at York in 2003. Yes, there were protests and yes there were those who wanted his speech to be cancelled. But the administration hired additional security and he had his say. In an ideal world everyone would be able to voice their opinions without the threat of violence, but this is an issue where emotions run high. Pro-Israel groups have similarly protested speakers with whom they disagree (Noam Chomsky at York, Norman Finkelstein at U of T).
