Ron Paul wins big

This is a good news/bad news day for Paul and his boosters.

The Good News: Just as I predicted, Ron Paul is wiping the floor with Chris Peden. Think the margin of victory for the Alberta Tories was huge? Forget it: Ron Paul is getting roughly 70 per cent of the vote. Even in Peden's "stronghold" (if you can call it that) of Fort Bend County, Paul is winning with about a 60 to 40 margin. You can check out the detailed county-by-county results here.

So just where did the Pajamas Media get their polling information from? They claimed that Chris Peden was threatening Paul, and that Paul was abandoning his presidential ambitions for fear of losing his District 14 seat.

Suggestion number 1: Fire whoever did your polls.
Suggestion number 2: Hire someone who doesn't just ask around at the American Enterprise Institute who they would vote for if they could vote in District 14.
Suggestion number 3: Try to enjoy Paul's contrarian message.

And the Bad News: Paul is getting slaughtered in today's presidential primaries. He's getting roughly five per cent in Ohio, Rhode Island, Vermont, and even in his home state of Texas. That's a pretty poor showing now that it's down to three contenders on the Republican side.

This is exactly why the MEDIA cut him off before the Iowa caucus. He would have won big for the nation just like he wins big at home.

Ron Paul is losing big time in the primaries because many Americans still rely on MSM, where he is being blacklisted, getting miniscule coverage compared to the likes of Establishment candidates like Mccain, Clinton, and Obama.

The MSM is Mccain's friend. Ron Paul's Revolution should be called an evolution because it will take time for him to have national name recognition like establishment candidates. More and more Americans depend on internet for news every year than the TV. Ron Paul's rise will be directly proportionate to the rise of the internet.

Did you guys read the ABC news (shall we call it news or ABC lies)about how Ron Paul was going to lose his seat. Stop being brain wash by the "idiots" media, find a better way of getting your news. . . .
PS Do as I did, I don't have a TV in my house :-)

Unfortunately the majority of voters, and Americans on all subjects for that matter, are controlled by the media. Ron Paul never had a chance without a fair shake from the MSM and a friend on the GOP side. Right now I would say that 95% of the voters don't know Ron Paul is still in the race until they see their voter ballot.

The mainstream media is screwing up America - BIG TIME! Screw the MSM! Find alternative sources for news, ones that are more independent.

Ron Paul represents me; the MSM doesn't!

Today. I proudly voted for Ron Paul.

Two words. So what. Paul is a nutter and 93-95% of the US knows it. He'll go back to Capitol Hill and write a bunch of nutter legislation. He rewrites the same bills over and over you know. And in all his time in Congress he's had what, six bills ever hit the floor, no cosponsors, and nothing ever passed. We got a handful of idiots in the US that think Paul is worth a flip. Truthers, Militias, White Supremacists, tax dodgers, the John Birch Society, and a bunch of trustafarian hippies who didn't have brains and gumption to keep the GOP out of the Presidency in the last two elections.

Do you work for The Reverend Doctor Congressman L. Ron Paultard? Some of his campaign infrastructure is from up there in the land of brain freeze, I hear.

Three more words. Stay in Canada.

I went to www.ronpaul2008.com immediately after McCain victory speech. I found out they put up the sign: "NOW THERE ARE TWO", with the pictures of the war-inclined McCain and Dr. Paul. So, something else is happening that RP is not considering himself out of the fight.

I know Dr. Paul is a very humble man. Arrogance is not the answer for this. Whatever it is the media is not telling. I dont know what. But I trust the good doctor. I don't trust the media.

Do not believe anything CNN, FOX and their friends tell you. GO RON PAUL.

future_primitive, if you are actauly a real person and not being paid by the fed reserve board or the media or some un ethical industry, they you are just a dueche bag. You probably have never gave ron paul the time of day and listen to more then a couple minutes of what he was saying becuase the intellegence that was coming out of his mouth overwhelmed you small ignorant dumb as dirt brain and you had to immedietly stop hearing what he was saying before you had a seizure. I bet your like 40 to or something even more sad cuase im only 22 and i seem to know alot more then you but maybe ur not that old. Non the less ur deuche, watch some documentaries, learn about what the federal reserve is, learn about banking, and monatary systems, and learn about the constitution, and facism, and communism. JUST LEARN SOMETHING FOR THE LOVE OF ANYTHING AND STOP THE STUPIDY. PLEASE!

Posted by: MICHAEL ADAMUCCI | 2008-03-04 9:05:14 PM

The reason for that, Maria, is that he is continuing to spread his message so long as he has support from the people. The way I see it, he is loyal not to McCain or the Rep party, but to the constitution, and to the task of ensuring that following that document is the platform of his party.

GO RON PAUL indeed.

Posted by: Ian | 2008-03-04 9:07:50 PM

I think the fact Ron Paul is scoring low nationally is because he is given NO coverage by the media.

I know that if he was given much more space on the news and such then he would be polling much higher, however most Americans probably still do not even know who he is and really did think that it was JUST McCain and Huck left in the rep. race.

This is only the start of a REVOLUTION that is going to get us back on course. If we can go from 1% to 7% in 3 months imagine what we can do in 4 years from now. Don't give up people. We have 4 years of work to do and I just know we can do it!!!

Posted by: james | 2008-03-04 9:54:50 PM

Americans got comfortable and affluent and are choosing "comfort" and "security" over liberty ("risky") and of course will lose everything with such a futile philosophy. The Americans will be living in caves in 40 years, or prisons, if both economic and incarceration trends continue.

Nothing more gruesome than a paranoid, violent empire in its last decades of faux-virility oblivious to its inexorable demise.

Good bye America, it was a sunny illusion all along. You were never free, never the free-est, never the beacon of liberty, but now even the Europeans, Canadians are more free from government dominance than the US. Who knew?

Embargo Communist Cuba but have your whole economy ruled, produced & financed by the Communist Party of China.

That's what Jefferson wanted to see his beloved country become, eh?

Ron Paul has no hope of becoming President of the United States because Americans talk of liberty but crave fascism, empire and entitlements, as Ron Paul says, the warfare and welfare state.

Come on guys. Ron Paul is a 911 truther nutter butter, Moslem ass kissing, blame America first, anti-conservative. Sure, he may be right on economic issues, but Winston Churchill would kick that anti-war pussies ass. It is debatable whether anti-war sentiment is the origins of the Republican party, but it has nothing to do with conservatism.

Before World War II, the head of this private global banking system was in England; but it moved to Wall Street with the economic ascendancy of the United States. Under the Bretton Woods Agreements, the U.S. dollar became the world's "reserve currency" along with gold. In 1971, President Nixon took the dollar off the gold standard, and the dollar became the world's reserve currency without that tether. U.S. lenders could create and lend dollars to whatever extent the world could be induced to borrow them. To insure that the lenders got their interest, in the late 1970s the World Bank and International Monetary Fund began imposing "conditionalities" on loans to Third World debtors, requiring them to open up their capital markets, slash spending on social programs, and privatize their industries. Meanwhile, speculative attacks on local currencies that had been left to "float" in foreign exchange markets without the tether of gold caused radical currency devaluations, allowing foreign investors to pick up these privatized assets at bargain basement prices.

When Dominoes Won't Fall

Iran was among the few nations to have escaped this global privatization scheme. Iran had its own oil, and it managed to avoid the trap of speculative currency devaluation by imposing foreign exchange restrictions and price controls on its currency, something it could do because it had adequate foreign exchange reserves from its oil sales.13 Iran's state-owned oil industry has allowed its economy to perform well, despite economic sanctions and rumors to the contrary.14 A "reformist" movement toward increased privatization ended with the 2005 election of President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, a "populist" who has promised to redistribute Iranian oil wealth more expansively and has committed the government to funding public-sector projects and charitable investments.15

Islamic scholars have been seeking to devise a global banking system that would serve as an alternative to the usury-based scheme now in control internationally, and Iran has led the way in devising that model.

Faramir -So conservatism = endless war and giving up freedom? I guess you missed the debates as well because Ron spoke specifically on the "truther" issue. How is it debatable that the "anti-war" sentiment is nonconservative? You are exactly what has ruined the Republican party and conservative image. You are a NEOCON perhaps youve heard the word? Your stupidity and easily programmed thought processes are what the current administration love, and promote through media manipulation. Your an embarrassment to the country. Your ideals help noone but the corporations and banks and your so stupid you defend the continual rape of America. Way to go! If America is to survive you (the neocon mentality) must be removed like a cancer. And I'm sorry but theres no way in hell we can continue this financial hemorrhage and expect not to lose everything.

Don't waste your time arguing with dolts, folks. McCain is going to lose as badly to Obama as Peden did to Paul. There's no two ways about it. GOP screwed themselves by sticking to the party line.

Have you all noticed all the advertisement money spent (on behalf of the MSM)on those stupid commercials where the gov't tells us how to lose weight by playing with our kids or the one where they show all the inner city mothers how to take care of their little ones because I guess their parents didn't pass that info on? I swear I see one of these commercials every 15 minutes when every I watch the tube. I wonder how many hundreds of millions the MSM collects from the teat of the Federal cow?

I am not an American but have been listening & following the news from CNN & fox network.
Out of all the candidates, I can truely say that Ron Paul is the real thing as compared to some Hillary, Barack or McCain.
I'm sure you guys know that Barack, Bush, Cheney, Hillary (not sure bout McCain) are members of Council of Foreign Affairs which was setup by David Rockefeller.
Now who is David R?He is one of the Illuminati which controls the World Banking through the Fed Reserve.
Just check up the ILLUMINATI & you guys will know what is their purpose.
These CNN & the rest of the news network are Rothschild's dogs. They only follow what their master's instructions. No wonder Hillary, McCain & Obama has wide coverage as compared to the other candidates such as RP.
Americans, wake up before your reputation goes down the drain with no return.

Go to hell Rick houston..idiot.

Ron Paul has averaged 5-9% in the Republican party elections to date. Do the math unless the GOP finds a way to get that important 5 to 9 % back they lose. What was 2004 election decided by? Florida and less than 1% of the vote. McCain is a Rhino and there will be 10 to 15% of the GOP sitting out the election. The GOP needs Ron Paul and they had better get it now because in 2012 there will be war over this in the party.

To all you Paul supporters-Please learn to spell
douchebag correctly. Incorrect spelling reflects poorly on your candidate

Posted by: atric | 2008-03-05 11:02:35 AM

You Ron Mecca Paulites sure do resort to labelling and conspiracy when you run out of arguments. I imagine most of his supporters here just discovered conservatism with Ron Paul in the last few months. Do you even know what a neo-conservative is? I have been a conservative, in all facets, since early adulthood. Winston Churchill was my first exposure to conservatism, but I suppose, for defending Western Civilization against evil he is a neo-con too? Unlike the Republicans of his era who wanted to protect their contracts with German companies. How noble and conservative. Real conservatives are not unthinking absolutists when it comes to defending Western Civilization. Of course we reject war of conquest, but we also believe we should be pro-active to defend ourselves against Jihadism. The problem with Paul is he doesn't see the big picture. He doesn't recognize that the most powerful collectivist war religion seeks to take down Western Liberalism. He actually thinks trading bobbles with them will change their hearts about us. You know it has worked so well with China. So its no surprise someone with the name Kalim Kassum is a Paul supporter. Or Ekk who just posted shilling for Islamic Banking of all things! Geesh.

I don't like McCain either - Tancredo was my guy.

As far as the MSM are concerned:
google:
+newspaper revenue+
+media revenue+ ... and then click NEWS

there one finds the continuing reports about the
newspaper and media industry; the newspaper industry
is really going down now, and TV has had it's best
days as well

Faramir, jihad is a threat, but it's not an excuse to build nations and occupy foreign lands, waste american wealth and vitality, all the while INCITING MORE JIHADISTS. We all agree we should fight the fight, but how we fight it is what will determine our fates.

Posted by: Ian | 2008-03-05 8:58:16 PM

This is a great news. Now I live in Europe and here I see quite well as important can be our LIBERTARIAN REVOLUTION. Go, Paul, go!

Charles

Posted by: Charles Bergamo | 2008-03-06 10:30:03 AM

The fact is that the number of libertarians in the country amount to no more than 10%. Most like me, who as a rejection of the system, do not vote. And that's been a constant regarding LP elections.

The only revolution that might actually work is for everybody to stop voting.

Posted by: sheldon waxman | 2008-03-06 4:58:02 PM

Ian, I don't buy into this MoveOn.Org crap that we create Jihadists by defending ourselves against the Moon Cult. The Mad Mohammeds have been raging jihad against the West for at least 5 centuries when Barbaies took Europeans into the slave trade.

How to fight the fight. Take Syria and Iran to task for killing US troops or bomb them to the stone age.

Posted by: Faramir | 2008-03-07 1:20:40 PM

We don't have to bomb them, Faramir.

We could simply withold food.
These are water-poor nations.
They can't grow their own.

Ron Paul might approve of that strategy.
