Obama Office Proudly Displays Communist Flag

Newsbusters picks up on this telling detail.

One of Barak Hussein Obama's new offices in Texas is proudly flying a Cuban flag emblazoned with a picture of Che Guevara.

I doubt if we'll see even a single news story about this.  The amazing thing isn't merely that someone put it up - but that no one else there seemed to even notice.  And people wonder why I describe the Democrat Party as the "party of treason."

Imagine the uproar (the very correct uproar, I need not add) if a Republican office was displaying a Nazi flag with a picture of Adolf Hitler on it.  Though, of course, as our friend Jonah Goldberg notes, that would be more appropriate for a Democratic office as well.

Hell, for a Republican comparison, imagine the uproar if some Republican office had a giant picture of Joe McCarthy in it.  (Leaving aside the fact that, in all reality, Tailgunner Joe was a stand-up guy).

I say we give it the 48 hour rule.

It might not be real.
This could be a new kind of 'false flag' operation to discredit the right blogosphere prior to the real election battle ahead.

It's real - follow the link and watch the video. It's in the background of a local newscast.

Why should anyone be surprised?

It is almost comical that in the "windstorm of change" that has swept Obama along, no one has taken the time to notice this guy is so far left he could make Karl Marx blush.

Scary. God help us all.

Can we question their patriotism yet?

Beware of any thug who runs for office uttering "corporate greed." They are Stalin waiting for the power.

Joe McCarthy wasn't a stand up guy, but a lying, vicious drunk, which doesn't change the fact that there were indeed communists in the U.S. government

Right below the video there is this clarification:
"The office featured in this video is funded by volunteers of the Barack Obama Campaign and is not an official headquarters for his campaign."

The video says that paid campaign staff have not yet moved in, so the claim that "One of Barak Hussein Obama's new offices in Texas is proudly flying a Cuban flag emblazoned with a picture of Che Guevara." is just not accurate.

It seems that the story here is that some individuals with revolutionary communist sympathies support a left-wing Democrat.
I'm shocked!

Hey, guess what, everybody? Barack Obama's middle name is "Hussein!" Wow, that's sure a scary middle name! We'd better mention it every chance we get, so that other people will know he's got such a scary middle name, too. Hopefully there are enough racists in the country like me and Adam Teiichi Yoshida who will vote against Obama and his scary middle name. We can't afford to have someone with such a scary middle name running the country, can we? Brrr... I'm scared just thinking about it.

Who cares? Do you think it was Obama's idea to put the flag up? There are many legitimate criticisms of Obama - from his substance-less campaign, to the fact that he taught Constitutional Law but apparently never encountered the section on enumerated powers, to how much his proposals will increase the size of the federal government, to his aggressive interventionist foreign policy (note one of his advisers is uber-hawk Zbigniew Brzezinski, a man who bragged about tricking the Russians into an 'Afghan trap). This criticism of him (which is really a criticism of some random on his campaign staff) is as devoid of substance as Obama's campaign itself.

Tailgunner Joe was a stand-up guy? You're kidding, right?

Book censorship, attacks on the American Protestant clergy, denial of civil liberties, illegal spying on citizens, ruining careers and lives of people with no evidence, asserting that American citizens should not be able to belong to whatever political party they choose. This is stand-up?

Posted by: bob | 2008-02-12 10:33:26 AM

What books, pray tell, did Sen. McCarthy censor? Who, exactly, did he "illegally" spy upon?

And, indeed, it's fair to say that people do not have the right, in any society, to align themselves with the enemies of that society and expect to escape sanction. The idea that liberty ought to extend to those trying to destroy it equally as it ought to extend to everyone else is a novel and inheriently flawed one.

Senator McCarthy was doing the very important work of exposing the large-scale communist infiltration of the American government. If only he'd been the man that history books now claim he was, perhaps some work could have been done in order to stop that socialist long march through the institutions which has damn-near doomed us all.

Look people... It doesn't matter if you don't like Joe McCarthy or not. The truth of the matter is that we defeated communism once before and it would be bad if we had to do that all over again. Communism is a failed concept as history has shown numerous times. But the Cold War has simply gone underground, it never really ended as some might think.

Imagine, a presidential candidate aligned with a revolutionary hero. Better tell Huckabee to lower the volume on his praise of Jesus!

If it's real, why are there white spaces between his fingers on his right hand. Photo shop is a great program but who ever cut this out missed that small part. I would never vote for this guy, but let's report on the truth.

Che Guevara and Fidel Castro didn't come out of the closet as Communists until after the revolution was over and they had gained power.

Needless to say, a lot of their followers were rather upset.

Posted by: Speller | 2008-02-14 9:37:07 AM

Newsflash: The communists won the cold war!!! We imitate the Soviets in every substantive way. Big Brother owns our health, education and has a stake in all our personal property through taxation. They even steal our money if we don't wear a life jacket or a seatbelt. Now, the food supply and industry are under attack by gov't babysitters and thugs. Trudeau/Douglas et al have successfully sold communism to the average citizen. Fighting communism doesn't need a foreign intervention. It requires a backyard war.

Do you take offense to "Good 'ol Boy" Republican George Allen having a Confederate flag and noose hanging from a tree in his office http://www.salon.com/news/feature/2006/09/24/allen_football/? That's his office, not the office of some campaign volunteers, but his office. Just wondering why this is a scandal.

Posted by: proud liberal | 2008-02-14 2:36:48 PM

Are you admitting that Liberals don't take offence to the communist ideology? It is just the confederate thing that bugs you?

So, Trudeau/Stalin beats Hitler/McCarthy?

Hoooooooo-ee!
You folk sure are right.
Let's burn that flag! A good flag burnin', thas what we all needs.
I gots the matches and some kerosene!

(and I agree with the guy who said America is becoming more like Russia, and Russia is becoming more like America--I think I read that in Spy magazine).

I will only vote for candidates whose middle names are found in the Bible.

But not Nicodemus. Sorry, I cannot go for that.

Treasonous Democrats!!!
They wanna make me pay taxes on tea, and other unworldly things that keep from being the millionaire I know I'm gonna be one day (and then, I'll enjoy them tax cuts. M-m-m, I can taste them now).

Why pay for a child's education?
I only care about chilluns when they's in the womb.
Once they pop out, they're on their own.
Hey!
Get a job, you toothless parasites!
