More Ezra

The videos, by the way, have gone viral, racking up thousands upon thousands of views from people all over the world. Should the hrc be worried about this? Of course they should. Not only is it making Canada look bad as a bastion of speech prohibition, it is also making the hrc look ridiculous.

On Ezra's site there is a Donate button. He fighting for all our rights to speak freely. Please send him a bit of cash. We owe it to him.
Also, send Harper an Email and tell him we want the CHRC reigned in. They have jumped out of their original bag and must be stopped.
Our freedom to bitch is at stake.
judging by the clips, Ezra is making those HRC monkeys look like the stupid tyrants they are.
He must win this. We must help.

Agree totally that Ezra needs our support.
Remember, emailing Harper or your MP will do no good at all. This is a Provincial matter ( as of now) so your complaints to the feds will do nothing. As a resident of evil Ontario, the only thing I can do at this juncture is make a donation and pass on my best wishes to Mr. Levant.
I suggest those of you that live out-of province or out of country do the same.
Enough is enough!!!

This comment makes me crazy.
So my brain with it's thoughts is entitled free dominion inside my cranium, but not outside. Although, I can whisper it to someone I trust won't be offended or have me charged for saying whatever it is I think.
That is the Alberta HRC's idea of an entitlement to one's opinion.
That cannot be allowed to stand. Ezra must win and then we can redirect support to the upcoming Macleans/Steyn charges of offending another thin-skinned, outraged Muslim.
The CHRC snake is trying to swallow elephants.
I am outraged that the HRC even exists. Just as Muslims appear to not be able to exist inside of a country with western values, the CHRC cannot exist inside a country with a freedom loving population. Something has to go.

Seems as if the top two video's posted to Youtube are increasing in viewings by about 5000 every few hours or so. The opening statement is just under 20k, "what was you intent', just over 21k.
3 hours ago each were under 14k. It'll be interesting to see what the numbers are in 12 hours.
Please support Ezra, go to his website and drop some $$$.

One of the posters at LGF observed that the comment, "You're entitled to your opinions" meant that she agreed with him and that was her ruling. Ezra should have said "Thank you" and left.

It's not a bad idea to email MPs and the PM with links to Ezra's site. Mark Steyn and Maclean's will be in front of the CHRC soon enough. There's a good chance MPs have no better idea of what goes on in these kangaroo courts than everyone else.
Best to get as much light as possible on the Stalinesque HRCs.

I always thought HRC 'reviews' were closed meetings, hence the mess we are in.
I for one, stand with Ezra, but I think he's a sensationalist and talked too much.
Then again, maybe that's what we need to bust this open.

Ezra is doing excellent, making a mockery out of the hrc. They are a joke, and therefore should be treated as such. No matter what they rule, Ezra has won. Bumper stickers and t-shirts with the mohammed cartoons will be going on sale soon methinks. Honk if you're an infidel!

Ezra, you certainly have my support. I learned about these videos through a link from the magicstatistics.com blog. So, word is getting around!! By the way, are these staged videos or are they the real deal?? Just wondering. In any event, it's scary to thing what these HRC are actually up to. Yes, write Stelmach (Alberta premier) and Harper and tell them how disgusted you are at the gestapo like tactics of the HRC.

Ezra Levant is a great Canadian.
Petty fascists want Canadian democracy to die a death by a thousands cuts.
Real fascists in the Islamist terror community would like Canadian democracy to die much faster, but they will let the petty fascists do the work for now.
All fascists must be stopped. Free people stop fascists.
If there were another media outlet in Canada that had the courage of the Western Standard, free people would pay attention to it rather than the cowards who run every one of the other media outlets in this country.
Ezra Levant is a real journalist - a very rare thing in Canada, the government cannot be allowed to persecute him.

Not a one has actually taken the time to try to deconstruct the arguments and show how they are wrong, at least not the ones I was on. Instead they rely heavily on those ole' ad hominem attacks on The Ez.

That is to show that Ezra is in control, not the public 'servant' that he is talking to.
By the way, tomax7, the HRC rep Ezra is talking to has some pretty impatient and condescending body language.
Yet Ezra is the one who is being put out and she is the one who is paid to be there.
I'd like to point out, tomax7, that you personally have said plenty on this blog that could put you in Ezra's seat in front of the HRC and you ought to be grateful they have to go through Ezra before they get to you.

...for one, I'm not afraid. For two, I don't know what would be construed as 'plenty'. For three I'm not gratful for Ezra's tirade.
Oh, calling a meeting, whether a waste of time or not an 'interrogation' is lacking control.
Immature or that dirty word some seem to miss in discussions here: discipline.
However, just to pacify the horse bridles in here, I hope Ezra does make well in his future 'interrogations'.

Now that you mention it, that does twig a distant memory.
Best of my recollection, that cartoon dealt with the Palestine/Israel issue.
I'm not sure whether that was after or before he was fired as a writer by the Gateway.
And, as I also recall, Ezra did have a column in the Edmonton Sun at one time. Not sure whether or not he was fired there, but apparently Calgary provided a more responsive audience.
Not sure what the details were in either case or whether any involved free speech issues.
I'm sure somebody out there knows the facts.

I think the appropriate thing for Mr Levant and Mr Steyn to do is to ignore the HRC's completely, as undemocratic, and then flee to the US and claim political asylum for persecution. These HRC kangaroo courts must be ignored and left to shout as toddlers into the wind, as they are simply an outrage and an embarrasment to any free-thinking society. Do not give them validity by participating in their little dog and pony show!
