Paul's Tea Party
UPDATE: Supporters dumped over $6 million dollars into Paul's coffers, shattering his previous one-day Republican record of $4.2 million. With yesterday's haul, Paul's campaign has set a new one-day record for either party, Democrat or Republican. His total for the quarter stands at just over $18 million.
Two hours to go until the Ron Paul Boston Tea Party fund raising event begins. Predictions for how much will be raised range from $4 million to $8 million. Just prior to the November 5th one-day "money bomb," those kinds of predictions would have resulted in uncontrollable laughter. But the chuckles have stopped, and Ron Paul is having trouble figuring out how to spend all of his new-found wealth.
At 10:04 p.m., the fund raising amount stands at just over $11,535,000. You can follow the day by viewing the graphs found here, or by watching the following thermometre:

"Soros money, designed to help Shrillery"
Why would Soros help the one candidate who would crush Hillary in the general election?

The surge is working, we have to stay and win something. I a, not suree what exact;y we win, or what the goals are but ok.
The surge is not working. We have to stay to ensure something. I am not sure what that is eitehr except peace in a place I could really care less about unless they are a threat. Which they are not and never were.
These are the two sides of all the samme coins that we are presented as candidates. All except Paul who also happens to be for sound money and an end to enslaving taxation of your labor.
How in the hell can you tax people for their labor?

Liberty Anthem
by Duce Suber
Secure our borders
With a presidents orders
Deport them all
Before we fall
Kill the fed
Off with its head
Or wait in line
For a piece of bread
Save our money
WE KNOW ITS FUNNY!
This is getting old
Lets get back to gold
Lose the mainstream
their not on our team
To listen to Hannity
Is just plain insanity.
Down with the establishment
Its just our entanglement
Vote for liberty
It whats meant to be
Wake up America!
Where have you been?
Take a look at congress
We have lions in our den
Peace and Prosperity
Is not where it ought to be
We fight in Iraq
But its time
To bring America back.
Ron Paul is for us All
Just as Jefferson saw,
Vote for America
Vote for us ALL.

It is this kind of blatant moonbattery that will ensure, no matter how much Paul raises, he will never have a chance.
Shrieking about tyranny, getting out of Iraq, and just about every other democratic talking point, instead of offering sane solutions to very difficult problems, only shows you for the fools you are.
The fact Paul won't distance himself from you is why it is over for him.

And here's the latest from Crazy Camp: (Hat tip to LGF)
"The Ron Paul Plot"
A dastardly plot is afoot to silence The Only Man Who Can Save America: They Want To Kill Ron Paul.
Best-selling author and Bilderberg sleuth Daniel Estulin says he has received information from sources inside the U.S. intelligence community which suggests that people from the highest levels of the U.S. government are considering an assassination attempt against Congressman Ron Paul because they are threatened by his burgeoning popularity.
Estulin, whose information has unfortunately proven very accurate in the past, went public with the bombshell news during an appearance on The Alex Jones Show today.
“I am getting information from my sources that there are people involved from a higher level of the American establishment who are seriously considering - this has not been confirmed - but assassination is definitely on the agenda and I pray to God that this is not the case,” said Estulin.
RIGHT! THEY want to kill the last-place candidate to make sure he doesn't win.
KOOL-AID time again!

I have it on good authority that the Masons and the Elders of Zion are in on the plot as well.

DeepBlue is really in deep, isn't he? He thinks that Paul's well-thought out positions about the economy and war are moonbattery. He's wondering why the Paulites aren't offering what he calls "sane solutions." DeepBlue, does Clinton have sane solutions? Or Obama? Or Huckabee? Or Guiliani? As far as I can tell through vast reading, the only person with significant ideas of any kind at all in this campaign is Paul. He's the only person who actually talks at the level of ideas instead of empty rhetoric. So get your head out of the vacuous blue in which you find comfort and start reading and thinking. As Paul said today, the real kooks are the ones running the show right now, running America into oblivion as fast as they can, it would seem. Once more: when it comes to government, small is beautiful. Rob

The reason Ron Paul is so popular, is that he is popular with a Majority of people.
The other reason he is so popular with the Majority, is he is 'unpopular' with the minority that is polled.
He is also a threat to the military industrial complex and its propaganda wing, the main stream media, and the people are standing up to say, we are ready for Ron Paul, the constitution and real change.

Saying that Neo-Nazis support Ron Paul is disingenuous at best. Sure, a lot of people that libertarians have zero use for may support him. They do so not because they share his views, but in spite of them.
Ron Paul on racism:
Racism is simply an ugly form of collectivism, the mindset that views humans only as members of groups and never as individuals. Racists believe that all individual who share superficial physical characteristics are alike; as collectivists, racists think only in terms of groups. By encouraging Americans to adopt a group mentality, the advocates of so-called "diversity" actually perpetuate racism. Their intense focus on race is inherently racist, because it views individuals only as members of racial groups.

Deepblue, one reason for Paul’s popularity, however limited it might be, is comments like “shrieking about tyranny.” There’s a view in the Paul camp that liberty and constitutional constraints on government are no longer important to conservatives and Republicans in a post-911 environment. In the freedom vs. security compromise, Paul supporters think we’ve given up too much freedom. It’s a reasonable position being advocated by reasonable people.

The sad part of Ron Paul's spectacular successes will be after he loses the nomination, the likelihood of his followers disengaging from the political process. 95% of his policies are exactly what is needed. How many anti-Ron Paul attack dogs commenting above honestly believe in the omniscience of the state to solve all problems? The state leviathan is the problem!
Political change doesn't come from electing the right leader (perhaps Thatcher being an exception) so much as from grass roots ground swell. Politicians usually scramble to get in front of the mob to pretend to lead and take credit for the movement. Ron Paul or the Internet phenomenon of Ron Paul has spread libertarian ideas recently like no one has, tripling core support to almost double digits. The Libertarian Party hasn't managed that in 30 years. That is a very positive thing. These folks were previously Dems, confused or political drop-outs. Adding them to the political landscape and keeping them engaged is a good thing.
Even the soft underbelly of Ron's somewhat naive isolationism is harmless when one considers that even if if he became President (I don't believe in miracles but I know some of you do) most of the troops would be slated to come home by then anyway. And would anyone really object to getting out of the UN as a bonus?
The next President, if Republican will likely only be a veto man anyway as the Republicans may be facing severe punishment for abandoning conservatism, giving way to a disgustingly Democratic Congress.

John C. ~
"giving way to a disgustingly Democratic Congress."
Congress today is at 22% popularity - President Bush at 37%.
The DemoRats will be turfed out of controlling the House next election Bela Pelosi has demonstrated her total incompetence as a leader.
BTW, 2 open house seats went to the Republicans last week - not that the media trumpeted that news. Had the DemoRats won them, you'd have seen it on front pages nationwide.
The Senate is more questionable, but Harry Reid is as much of a failure as Pelosi. His popularity in his home state of Nevada is in the mid-thirties now.

I'll say this. The ferocity towards Ron Paul tells me there's some genuine fear here. You guys are usually quick to be dismissive of the trivial—OK I'm being really generous there—but Ron's getting a lot of attention for a GOP candidate in the 2008 election.
In any event he's going to be the only guest on Meet The Press this sunday. The podcast will go live sunday night and I'll check out what he has to say to Tim Russert.
