They're Here, They're Queer, We're Finished

So ends the institution of marriage in Canada. I've been married just under four years.

Marriage - alas, we hardly knew ye.

The marriage game may well just beginning to get interesting.
Polygamy will be the next battle. And why not?
As Canadians surely we cannot descriminate against more than one partner in marriage.
Maybe even a favourite pet. Far fetched?
Anything is now possible in this Nation of Tribes.

No way! Homosexual "marriage" will never be anything more than a child's game...like playing house. This sillyness has nothing to do with Covenant Marriage. Please continue to cherish and celibrate your union as the sacrament that it is.
Our society must withstand this setback, and I believe we can. Are the courts going to put us all in prison for refusal to acknowledge this mistake? Bring it on!

I am no longer 'married'-- the word has been rendered meaningless -- so till I (or someone else) can come up with a less cumbersome phrase, I'll simply say that I'm in a sacramental covenant.

I think I shall say I'm engaged, for my hubby and I were not married in a church - YET. We will do so for our anniversary.

Oh, wait, that's not the definition of "engaged", you say? Oh well, I'll just change the definition to suit my needs. After all, this is Canada. What's good for the goose...

Rightgirl - Marriage was over the day they gave sluts the right to have jobs. Evil feminism destroyed the fabric of the family and I think in the name of all that's right and traditional I'd ask that you zip it and get back in the kitchen - thanks.

As for polygamy, it's my

[profanity deleted - take it easy, people]

right as a Christian to marry as many women as I want!!!! Read the Bible people!! It's all there.

Rightgirl -

I'm positively intrigued by your statement that your marriage of four years has essentially ended as of yesterday. Could you eloborate on how your marriage has actually deteriorated in the last 24 hours?

I'm not interested in the collectivist arguments. If no actual, individual marriage has deteriorated, then only Soviet logic could lead anybody to conclude that somehow "all" marriages have somehow deteriorated in general.

"Marriage - alas, we hardly knew ye."

I hope you and your husband can work things out.
