Aboriginals doing better
Yesterday, Statistics Canada issued some data on aboriginals living in metropolitcan areas. And, guess what? They are doing much better than they were 2 decades ago.
In addition, employment rates in these urban centres for Aboriginal adults aged 25 to 44 who had completed their university degrees were on par with their non-Aboriginal counterparts in 2001. The only exceptions were those in Regina and Saskatoon.
In addition, more aboriginal youth are attending school, employment rates are up, and there is a decline in dependence on transfer payments.
This is all good news. This underlines the importance of assimilation. Living off the reservation obviously helps aboriginals assimilate....and that brings a better life.
Now, I don't want to force aborginals off reservations....but, I do want to bring more free enterprise and freedom (like private home ownership) to the reservation.

Gay and right? Fantastic. This forum welcomes the views of Log Cabin Conservatives. What's your position on Bill c-38?
