Martin Distances Himself From Promise To NDP

Paul Martin was on John Gormley Live (650am Rawlco - Saskatoon) this morning via phone - briefly. He's learned to fill airtime with drawn out repetition to put off speaking to callers or facing new questions.

Early in the interview, he acknowledged that even with the support of Jack Layton his government's fate rests on the independants in parliament. Gormley did pin him down on one question, though - if the NDP demands for $4.6 billion in spending on social programs and the environment were valid, why wasn't the spending in the budget in the first place?

Martin replied that the NDP extortion was "simply an acceleration of the existing liberal government agenda" that adding it to the budget now was just "bringing it forward"...

Then - he added that the $4.6 billion "won't be spent unless we can be assured that at least 2 billion in debt can be brought down".

I wonder if Jack Layton knows this?

Martin also says he's willing to forge ahead with the corporate tax cuts in separate legislation.

Is he suffering from dementia? Honestly!

You know, it's quite the scenario we are watching.
Here you have the Liberal Party imploding on itself, coming apart at the seams, tripping over itself daily.

And Martin, the new Mafia Boss of 'Da Libranos', walking the cliff, flinging out bags of stolen loot, to entice any and all to come to his aid.

Then, there's Jack Layton, the Corrupt Sanctimonious Preacher, with his patronizing missionary agenda, informing all who will listen on prime time that He Knows What's Best for The Country..and 'what's best' is not only centralist authoritarian socialism...paid for by The Evil Ones (evil rich Corporations and evil rich people) who, heck, provide him and us with our jobs. Oh, and his act of blessing us with his socialist love, hides the fact that his whole Save the Country/Liberals scene is really an election strategy for the NDP.

Ah..and then there's Chretien, the Puppet Master, working in the background, pulling the strings. His agenda? Destroy Martin; make him lose, lose, the election and be flung into the St. Lawrence River, attached, preferably, to a concrete tire.

And, Chretien must stop and/or discredit the Gomery Inquiry. So that no-one will know that it was all about Chretien's narcissism, his insistence on winning the post referendum election..and that need required money, which the Liberals didn't have. So, it was laundered. Shhh. No-one's supposed to know. Chretien's monstrous ego rules Canada.

I just thought of a new name for the Liberal-NDP deal:

The Pact of Steal

Get it?

Paul Who? Jack Who? Jean Who?

Chretien/Martin/Layton: SSM, in deed(s) and in fact.

Yesterday's men (men?).

Long live freedom and democracy.

Kate:

Wait a minute...Hold the phone...Let me get something straight. Are you suggesting the Prime Minister is being less than completely honest and forthright with the Canadian people? Why, that's shocking. Who could imagine such a thing?

Martin and Layton are from the same class of privilege and wealth in Ontario. You couldn't separate them if you tried. This is not a pact with the devil, it is a pact between devils.

I was for/against the spending, before I was against/for it...where else have I heard that line?

It's all perfectly clear. The Liberals and their friends weren't stealing ... they were merely bringing their incomes forward ... accelerating the graft that would have happened anyways - over the course of, say, the next 100 years.

And all those wonderful free hospitals and schools and EI and business subsidies Canadians have been dining off of for the last little while ... that was merely bringing forward the wealth of our children and grandchildren. They probably would have spent their money on frivolous stuff anyways - so why not have a little fun and buy a few elections right now?

Jack 's approach to crime: Before I turn in the man that broke into the house across the street and stole everything he could carry - I should make sure I get the great entertainment system at rock bottom price. Or at least I should wait until the judge actually sentences him before I help get him off the street.
