Autopen da fe
There may be no sassier a writer than Ann Coulter. Her latest:
She revs up the right and appalls the left -- I'd call her a right wing Michael Moore, other than the fact that she actually does her research and isn't, uh, hygienically challenged.

While some of the feeding frenzy surrounding Donald Rumsfeld has been fueled by opinion leaders on the right, am I the only one who noticed how very soon the resignation chants erupted after calls for Kofi Annan's head went up?... [Read More]

Isn't it interesting how the left-media have ganged up on Rumsfeld? Even the National Post today (24 Dec) carries a column by Kelly MacParland peddling the "party line". He demands that Rumsfeld go; he accuses him of arrogance in the face of a soldier's question about armour on Hummers. He says that, while the question was planted by a reporter, it was essentiallly true. Heard that anywhere before? Yup: CBS and the Rather/National Guard memos.
The transcript of the Q&A with the soldiers shows a great deal of care and attention to the problem of armour. The phrase about using the army you've got comes right out of context. And later information shows that the unit the soldier was from had some 790 of its 820 Hummers already properly armoured.
The National Post continues with MacParland, Sheldon Alberts and one or two other very questionable reporter/columnists. Ever since the Aspers took over its been sliding ever so delicately leftward---though "delicate" isn't the word I'd use about Sheila Copps.

Much of Coulter's stuff is no more outrageous than PJ O'Rourke, but she attracts so much more venom. Funny that.

Some people would be more comfortable if she were less attractive or less conservative, or if she merely twittered on about designer shoes or handbags.

The post sliding leftward? Are you gonna say Global is going left, too Patrick? Asper's companies all lean right and will continue to do so, as long as the Cbc exists.
By the way, Kathy, who is PJ O'Rourke? A nobody that nobody listens to. Anne Coulter? A top pundit, best selling author etc. Why do you think the media pays more attention to her? Nothing funny about it. Remember, this is the woman that even your sacred cow O'Reilly called 'vitriolic'. (see Fox News website, search for O'Reilly's interview with her)
